We recently participated in the 48 Hour Design Challenge, which we received first prize for our site category. The challenge was run by the central city Plan team of the Christchurch City Council in conjunction with the School of Landscape Architecture, Lincoln University. The goal was to provide the design and architecture industry with an opportunity to put their best plans forward for specific parts of the Central City.

A total of 15 teams took part in the Challenge, with seven people in each including engineers, planners, urban designers, architects and landscape architects, as well as one student on each team. Participants came from Singapore, Australia and around New Zealand.

Our team, ‘LandMARKS‘, comprised members of our company; Tony Milne, Chris Owen and Jeremy London, as well as; John Spence (Engineer – O’Loughlin Taylor Spence), Greg Dewe (Planner – Aurecon), Hannah Ayres (Graduate Landscape Architect) and Ben McLauchlan (Graduate Architect).
