Wilton Close in central Christchurch is a high density, low-rise apartment complex. RMM provided full landscape architecture consultancy services for the development of 30 units.
Their design included private and communal living spaces, restful courtyards, entrances for pedestrians and vehicles, underground car parking, and the street front, all tailored for increased social interaction.
The whole landscape development for the apartment complex was set on the roof of an underground parking complex. This presented a considerable number of technical problems that are effectively addressed by the proposed RMM design.
Working closely with the consultant team and a number of specialists, clever and innovative design solutions have been posited. The modern RMM design complements the award-winning pared back design of Cymon Allfrey Architects.
