In 2012, r+m was engaged to provide a comprehensive strategy of analytical landscape design for the grounds of the school. This addressed the character of the landscape, the existing vegetation, the sports field functionality, and the adjacent residence of Headmaster.
This strategy for the landscape included a long-term vision for developing the grounds of the school. The existing mature trees and vegetation, both of which contribute to the character of the school, are particularly addressed.
The first stage of the redevelopment of the school grounds included the redevelopment of 'The Medbury Green'. After that, r+m are carrying out further design and spatial detailing for outdoor learning and interaction, encouraged by the new teaching blocks, entrance, stream enhancement, and car parks.
