our projects

South of Christchurch, Stonebrook subdivision is 20 minutes from the city centre. r+m provided full urban design and landscape architecture services with an emphasis on accessible public open spaces and a well-connected, pedestrian-oriented neighbourhood.

r+m’s landscape concept for Stonebrook takes cues from the local rural environment. The layout, planting and hardscape materials, including river stone and timber, reflect the natural surroundings.

A linear park runs the full length of the development. Extensive reserves and waterways, a hazelnut grove, pocket parks, playgrounds, and a village green set a new benchmark in medium density residential living.

r+m’s involvement throughout the project is enabling their original vision to be realised. This ensures Stonebrook’s identity and rich landscape character reflects its rural context.
