Laura joined r+m in 2013. She has practised in a variety of offices, gaining experience in a wide range of projects. These include design for residential, civic, commercial, land development and recreational projects - from initial conceptual design through to detailed design, construction drawings, planting plans and project administration.
Laura also has a BSc in Biological Sciences and is passionate about the New Zealand landscape and native plant ecosystems. She is constantly expanding her knowledge in sustainable materials and design. Laura tutors into the Lincoln University’s School of Landscape Architecture and enjoys sharing her passion and knowledge of plants and how they contribute to the landscape.
Moves: mostly by foot, bus, bike and car... and occasionally by sail, skis or surf
Drinks: too much coffee every morning, and NZ sauv/cider or G&T on a sunny afternoon
Plays: in the surf or in the hills whenever possible!
Favourite space in Christchurch: New Brighton, Sumner, or at the top of the Port Hills
