Now semi-retired, as a landscape architect, Peter has more than 45 years of experience. His expertise is in assessment preparation, primarily landscape and visual effects. In recent years, through environmental design, he has been particularly interested in renewable energy projects and sustainability.
He's presented expert evidence on projects across New Zealand and Australia at numerous council hearings, at the Environment Court and before boards of inquiry and special tribunals. Peter is currently focusing on mentoring and peer review roles and is not carrying out new project work.
He has held a number of roles with the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects, including terms on the Executive Committee of the Institute. Peter is a passionate sailor and tramper. He enjoys yacht racing in the harbours of Lyttelton and Akaroa and cruising in the Sounds and the Southern Lakes.
