Now semi-retired, Peter has more 45 years’ experience as a landscape architect. His expertise lies in the preparation of assessments of landscape and visual effects. In recent years he has been particularly interested in renewable energy projects and sustainability through environmental design.
He has presented expert evidence at numerous council hearings, in the Environment Court and before Boards of Enquiry and Special Tribunals on projects throughout New Zealand and in Australia. Currently, Peter concentrates on undertaking mentoring and peer review roles and is not undertaking new project work.
He has held a number of roles with the New Zealand Institute of Landscape Architects, including terms on the Institute’s Executive Committee. Peter is a keen sailor and tramper. He enjoys yacht racing on Lyttelton and Akaroa harbours and cruising in the Sounds and on the Southern Lakes.
