Nicholas joined the r+m Auckland team in January 2021 after completing his Landscape Architecture studies at Unitec in 2020. He was a student representative on the NZILA Auckland Branch for 3 years organising student’s attendances to local events. Nicholas was a part of the team for the 2019 Unitec publication of Xsection Redefinition.
Through studying Nicholas has gained a passion for creating functional landscape spaces that can evolve and grow over time with strong connections to the surrounding ecologies and cultural narratives. In a final year project using those ideas Nicholas attempted to deconstruct a current Auckland suburban streetscape to integrate natural past ecologies with a new pedestrian focused street. He is excited about continuing to learn and gain experience with r+m.
In his spare time Nicholas enjoys exploring new locations by whatever means necessary (on water, legs or wheels), drawing, photography and learning new skills.
