Gerrard joined r+m in 2014 after graduating from Lincoln University with a Bachelor's degree. Prior to that, he worked as an analyst in the financial services industry.
Gerrard supports greener pedestrian-friendly zones and pocket parks in the city centre, safe and convenient cycle ways connecting neighbourhoods with popular amenities, and public sculpture throughout the city.
Gerrard’s application is toward commercial and public space projects, focusing on streetscapes, playgrounds, reserves and structures. He prepares the full spectrum of landscape drawings and contract documentation, and undertakes the contract administration required in his projects. Gerrard enjoys resolving issues on site, where he can visualise a solution to ensure there are minimal setbacks.
Gerrard is a keen runner and mountain biker, enjoys participating and competing in r+m’s social and sporting challenges, and gets stuck into his own landscape projects during the weekend. With a recent new addition to his family, he is also surmounting the challenges faced with a new director.
